Overview

The City of London Corporation identified a unique opportunity to create modern facilities for both the City of London Police and Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service in the heart of the historic Square Mile.

CLW has been commissioned as the waterproofing design consultant for the three storey basement, which extends over the entire site as a whole.

A 125 year design life has an impact on the design when considering the correct waterproofing strategy to meet these high standards.

Results

A minimum of two forms of waterproofing is required throughout, we have specified Types A, B and C with the majority being Types B and C.

This includes buried roof/podium deck elements, as the basement extends beyond the building line at ground level.
